As a member of the Ebene Quartet, Gabriel Le Madagure has performed in the most prestigious concert halls in the world: Carnegie Hall in New York, Berlin Philharmonic, Wigmore Hall in London, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, Tonhalle in Zurich, Mozarteum in Salzburg, Salzburger Festspiele, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Théâtre du Châtelet and Salle Pleyel in Paris…

2003 marks a turning point in his career as he wins, with the Ebene Quartet, the 2nd prize of the Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition and decides to dedicate his career completely to the quartet. Within this ensemble, he will work with great pedagogues such as the Ysaÿe Quartet, Gábor Takács, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Eberhard Feltz and the composer György Kurtag. In 2004, the Quartet won the first prize at the ARD International Competition in Munich as well as five special prizes.

In 2020, the Ebene Quartet released a recording of the complete Beethoven String Quartets, recorded live around the world. It regularly shares the stage with renowned partners such as Renaud & Gautier Capuçon, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Mitsuko Uchida, Nicholas Angelich, Alexandre Tharaud, Franck Braley, Daniel Müller-Schott …

In 2021 Gabriel Le Madagure becomes professor in residence at the Hochscule of Munich where the Ebene Quartet founds the “Ebene, Quartet Academy”.
