The Aviv Quartet is acclaimed for the beauty of its playing, its sophistication of phrasing and its moving expressiveness. Today, it enjoys an international career, performing in the world’s greatest concert halls.
For this concert, which sees them return to Gironde, twenty years after their prize at the International String Quartet Competition of Bordeaux 2003, the four instrumentalists have decided to focus on fundamental works of the quartet repertoire.

Bartók first, with the melodic and rhythmic freedom of his second quartet, the fruit of his years of collecting traditional music from around the world. Finally, Beethoven’s Opus 132, which testifies to the extent to which the last quartets of the German genius will forever mark the legacy of music for sixteen strings.
