Quartetto Goldberg

The Quartetto Goldberg is winner of the 42nd Abbiati Award of the Italian Critics “Piero Farulli – best young ensemble”, first prize at Filippo Nicosia Chamber Music Award 2023 and is selected at the 19th International Chamber Music Competition of Lyon (April 2024).

In the 2023/2024 season, together with the debut in Sala Verdi for Fondazione Società dei Concerti di Milano, the highlights of the group are:
the artistic residencies at Vibre! Festival of Bordeaux and at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofia of Madrid, a couple of tournée in Saudi Arabia and Finland as well as collaborations with Società del Quartetto of Vicenza, Società dei Concerti of Trieste, Gioventù Musicale Italiana.

The ensemble is “Artist in Reaidence” of Fondazione Società dei Concerti di Milano 2022/2023, protagonist of the Nuit duQuatuor 2022 in Paris and “Quartet in Residence” at Ticino Festival 2022. Recently was hosted on radio programs such as La Stanza della Musica and Piazza Verdi.

The Quartetto Goldberg was born in 2021 and is studying at the Stauffer Academy with Quartetto di Cremona, at the City Conservatory of Paris with Miguel da Silva and with Kyril Zlotnikov (Jerusalem Quartet). It is part of MERITA platform and Le Dimore del Quartetto, of which it is Ensemble of the Year 2022. The name is a tribute to J. S. Bach’s Variations, a piece that deeply binds the four members and expresses the key ideals of their music-making: refinement, simplicity and communicativeness.
