With an obvious stage presence even before the start of the score, the Elmires immediately give the impression of moulding living material […] (Concertclassic)

In a perpetual quest for expression, the Elmire Quartet impresses with its generous, free, fully assumed and unreservedsound (Diapason)

The Elmire Quartet, familiar with the great repertoire (Les Échos), finds its identity by immersing itself in this heritage, and one can appreciate the perfect harmony of the musicians in the embodiment of this unique music (Diapason).

Founded in 2017, the Quatuor Elmire was awarded second prize at the prestigious Geneva Competition and the Etrillard Foundation’s special prize for the most outstanding artistic project. It also won the Carl Nielsen International Competition in Copenhagen.

The Quatuor Elmire has already performed in major venues such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Victoria Hall in Geneva, the Philharmonie du Luxembourg and the Grange au Lac in Evian. The year 2024 was marked by its debut on the stage of the Alt Oper in Frankfurt, the Tokyo International Forum, the Roque d’Anthéron International Festival and the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of La Folle Journée in Nantes. In 2025, the Elmire Quartet will release its first album, a double disc devoted to Beethoven and his ‘Razumovsky’ triptych.

With the advice of the Modigliani, Ysaÿe, Belcea and Ébène quartets, the Quatuor Elmire is artist-in-residence at the Singer-Polignac Foundation and at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, ProQuartet grand resident, Spedidam generation artist and Banque Populaire Foundation prize-winner.
