The Marché des Douves is a former Bordeaux city retail market located in the Capucins district of Bordeaux. In 2015, it was rehabilitated as a laboratory for social and cultural innovation. The association La Halle des Douves is responsible for running and programming the space. Its actions encourage meetings, exchanges and collective creation for associations, players and residents, and thus enable new forms of cooperation that promote the diversity of cultural expressions. Member associations can organise their meetings, shows, gatherings and events here. Reflecting the life of the neighbourhood, the focus is on opportunities to develop collaboration, solidarity, events open to all and free of charge… and, in general, practices that consider that cultures and social realities are closely intertwined.
