The Rohan Palace is a Bordeaux palace built for Archbishop Ferdinand-Maximilien-Mériadeck, Prince of Rohan, between 1771 and 1784. Over the centuries the building has had different functions, from the Archbishop’s Palace until the Revolution, to the Imperial Palace of Napoleon I, and then to the Town Hall in 1835.

This palace has been granted double protection as a historical monument for the palace with its main courtyard, as well as for the facades and roofs of the buildings and various rooms on the ground floor.

Inside, we can find salons with Louis XVI style panelling or the archbishop’s room with trompe-l’oeil decoration in the Pompeian style.
