The international prize-winning NOVO Quartet is a string quartet based in Copenhagen. They recently won the 2nd prize and Jury Special Prize in Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition 2021, received the Léonie Sonning Talent Award 2021 and won the national Danish Radio Chamber Music Competition 2020. They have given concerts spanning Scandinavia, Europe and Asia whilst being highly in demand in Denmark appearing frequently up and down the country in both festivals and concert series.
Kaya Kato Møller and Nikolai Vasili Nedergaard (violins) Daniel Śledziński (viola) and Signe Ebstrup Bitsch (cello): A Danish-Polish mix that started playing exclusively as a string quartet together in 2018, yet have appeared in various different musical constellations throughout many years studying together from teens until now. Currently tutored as a string quartet at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, they are protégés of Tim Frederiksen (who has coached amongst others the Danish String Quartet).
Future projects include concerts in Denmark and Norway as well as a tour in Greenland.
