Born in France in 1988, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Cl\u00e9ment has performed in many of the world’s leading concert halls.<\/p>\n
She has performed at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall<\/em> and Wigmore Hall<\/em>, Carnegie Hall<\/em> in New York, the Kimmel Center<\/em> in Philadelphia, the Gardner Museum<\/em> in Boston, the Konzerthaus<\/em> in Berlin, the Concertgebouw<\/em> in Amsterdam, Salle Cortot<\/em> and the Cit\u00e9 de la Musique<\/em> in Paris, as well as in many other European venues.<\/p>\n Her chamber music partners include Nicolas Altstaedt, Jonathan Biss, Brett Dean, Richard Goode, Alina Ibragimova, Marie-Elisabeth Hecker, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Mitsuko Uchida and Peter Wispelwey, as well as the Brentano String Quartet and the Nash Ensemble.<\/p>\n Since September 2013, she has been the violist with the Doric String Quartet. Highlights include recitals at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw<\/em>, Vienna’s Musikverein<\/em>, Frankfurt’s Alte Oper<\/em>, Hamburg’s Laeiszhalle<\/em> and De Singel<\/em> as well as regular performances at the Wigmore Hall<\/em> and numerous festivals including Aldeburgh, Carinthischer Sommer<\/em>, Delft, Edinbrugh, Grafenegg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Musica Viva Sydney<\/em>, Ris\u00f8r, Schwetzinger and West Cork Festivals. The quartet has also toured Japan, Israel, Australia, America and New Zealand.<\/p>\n Since 2010, the quartet has been recording exclusively for Chandos Records<\/em>, notably works by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Britten.<\/p>\n H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Cl\u00e9ment is a regular guest at the prestigious Marlboro Music Festival<\/em> in America and at Prussia Cove<\/em> in England.<\/p>\n She teaches viola and chamber music at the Royal Academy of Music<\/em> in London.
