Composed of passionate young musicians, the ensemble brings a vibrant energy and a fresh perspective to the classical scene, and seeks to connect with audiences worldwide.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They were awarded the special prize for the best performance of a new commissioned string quartet by G\u00e9rard Pesson at the 13th Premio Paolo Borciani Competition and were semi-finalists at the 2023 Concours de Gen\u00e8ve. Shortly after their formation, they performed at the Berliner Philharmonie, the Seoul Arts Center International Music Festival, the Mozart Festival of HfM Hanns Eisler Berlin, the 50th Anniversary Summer Festival of HMTM Hannover, the Crescendo Festival of the Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste Berlin, and Music in PyeongChang.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u200bThey performed as featured artists at the 2024 Sommerliche Musiktage Hitzacker, the 2024 McGill International String Quartet Academy (MISQA), and Traiettorie 2024, and have been invited to perform at the Festival de Quatuors \u00e0 Cordes en Pays de Fayence. The quartet has also participated in projects of Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz and the Hohenloher Kultursommer 2024. In addition, the Ast Quartet has been selected as scholarship recipients by Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland and has been honored with the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation Scholarship, the B\u00f6rsenclub Hannover \u201cStartup-Musician\u201d Award, and a scholarship from the F\u00f6rderkreis der HMTMH e.V.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u200bAst Quartet completed their studies at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover under Professor Oliver Wille and has drawn diverse musical inspiration from masterclasses with Corina Belcea, Kuss Quartet, Eberhard Feltz, Mathieu Herzog, Heime M\u00fcller, Midori, Wolfgang Redik, Philip Setzer, and Tabea Zimmermann.
