Listrac-Médoc

The Church of Saint-Martin in Listrac-Médoc has retained most of its Romanesque and Gothic origins. It has a 12th century Romanesque choir preceded by a nave and two aisles built later. The bell tower, built in the 16th century, is a large square tower framed by powerful buttresses at the corners and topped by a short stone spire. The size of the church compared to those of the neighbouring communes shows the importance of Listrac in the past.
